Featured Spring Design by Heather
You'll notice this card as the design used in our blog banner! It was created by Heather Meeson, so here are a few comments from her about her design:
When I was first brainstorming design ideas for this image, coloring the letters in an interesting way was one of my top priorities. The area inside the letters is large and open in comparison with the detailed flowers and animals surrounding it ... making it a rather large focal point.
After coloring "spring" in a solid color on a few designs, I really wanted to give the image a bit of depth, separating the words from the elements around it. To accomplish this I paper pieced the letters and then popped them up (cutting dimensional tape into small bits to fit).

Cute with a capital Q!

Love this so much I made one very similar when I saw it as the banner before Easter! I thought I was going to do the same with the Happy Easter stamp...but I don't have scissors that small!! This card is absolutely adorable! Great coloring! Thanks for the inspiration!
